Government Lodging at Per Diem Rates

Traveling on government or military orders can offer several lodging options depending on the length of assignment.  Government lodging options include hotels, furnished house rentals, apartments, or condo rentals. Hotels and extended stay suites are the best option for short term TDY assignments, and allow government travelers to obtain lodging incentives like rewards points for future hotel stays, free breakfast, and in some cases a free social or happy hour.  Furnished houses or apartments are another option and are probably the best government lodging alternative for stays of 30 nights or longer.  In some cases lodging providers in vacation destinations may allow travelers to rent a house or condo for a few nights or a few weeks.

Government travelers making lodging reservations weeks or months in advance have the opportunity to find the widest selection of accommodations at the best rates, much like booking an airline flight months in advance (not weeks).  Several websites offer a selection of all types of lodging for federal and state travelers.  TDY Lodging offers the largest selection of Government Lodging options for travelers interested in comparing per diem rate hotels, apartments, house rentals, and furnished condos.

US Air Force Academy Lodging

The U.S. Air Force Academy located near Colorado Springs is one of the most beautiful and scenic places in the United States, with majestic snow-capped views and plenty of outdoor activities depending on the time of year.  For government travelers and family members of Air Force Academy cadets, temporary lodging options are available in many of the Colorado Springs hotels and the surrounding area.

TDY Lodging offers government rate lodging options for cadets, Military travelers, and family visiting the school for the Air Force Academy Graduation Week.  To find some of the best rates (within the GSA per diem rate) be sure to check availability of all Air Force Academy Lodging through the TDY Lodging reservation website for DoD travel.  The site is open to the general public, but it publishes rates within or close to the military and government travel rate. Depending on the time of year, rates are subject to change, but the military hotels and government rate will often be honored if on official travel, or if visiting the Air Force Academy for graduation week.

Traveling to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia and in need of lodging or short term housing options?  TDY Lodging offers MCB Quantico hotels and extended stay accommodations within the GSA per diem rate schedule for official government travel.  Sometimes referred to as government or Military Hotels , temporary duty accommodations can be booked directly through the lodging provider through the TDY Lodging platform.

Official travelers to Quantico, Virginia for assignment at the Marine Base, and travelers on assignment to the FBI Academy have several options through TDY Lodging’s hotels and extended stay suites.  Best of all, booking a hotel through the TDY Lodging website allows a traveler to accumulate rewards points and membership rewards directly through the hotel provider, which other government travel systems may not allow.  The JFTR (Joint Federal Travel Regulation) is the best source of information when traveling on government or defense travel orders, and in need of researching the federal rules and regulations for official travel.  Fortunate for military and government travelers, hotel rewards points are allowed to accrue while a federal traveler is on TDY status.  Browse all MCB Quantico hotel options today by visiting the DoD Lodging portal located at DefenseLodging.com , an affiliate of TDY Lodging, and earn hotel rewards while on a TDY assignment.
